On the cusp of Mexican Independence Day and kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month, GRAMMY Award-winning trailblazer Miguel celebrates his Mexican roots with the release of “El Pleito” (English: ‘the dispute’), expanding the CAOS movement via ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records. Caught between calm and rupture, “El Pleito” ties Miguel’s story to the universal immigrant experience – a negotiation of opportunity and sacrifice.
“‘El Pleito’ is me making peace with what change through chaos costs and saluting anyone who bets on possibility lejos de casa.” says Miguel.
“El Pleito” closely follows the release of the urgent single “New Martyrs (Ride 4 U)” – a tender mirror confronting the dysfunctional power structures that persist in plain sight.
Last week, Miguel dedicated the vulnerably poignant “Angel’s Song” to his son on his 1st birthday and intimately shared the track directly to his fans via S1C —his creative incubator and brand platform, designed to empower multi-hyphenates across the Black, Brown, and Latin diaspora.
With CAOS set for release October 23rd, Miguel continues to chart a course that is personal, uncompromising and politically resonant.
